Er... maybe these as being overshadowed by the Cheonan incident but the reason why China is on the sumit is in fact about the three countries agreed on start a joint study for a trilateral FTA. Visas waivers for increase business travels and other serious business.

I got the impression that because the media concetrate on the Cheonan Incident, some14some may believe that Japan is doing nothing there.

So I tried but obviusly failed to explain, that the sumit was arrraged before for other reasons mainly about trade. China is not very interested in hear SK supported by Japan about the Cheonan incident, but they already committed to the sumit, so they went to the reunion and talked about NK after the original agenda on the second day of the sumit. The main result of the sumit as originally planned is more or less these.

"By 2012, we will endeavor to complete the joint study for a free trade agreement among China, Japan, and South Korea," the leaders said in a joint statement.

I dont bealive that they (the leaders) hate each other like BurakuminDes think. I think that they dislike each other for the much bad blood between us from the past. So the fact that they can sit on the same table and agree on something, no matter how small it can look to others, for me is almost a miracle. For some people It can look like a laughable "pantomine". But for the pacifist people of Japan is a hope for a better future. Is a small seed and is going to take a lot of time and care for bear fruits, but I think that is worth our the effort.
