T_rexmaxytime, I believe there's nothing wrong with visiting a temple or shrine as long as the person who is visiting is mindful of the importance of it's religious significance and are respectful to it and its patrons.

MarkX, Yes, it's old shrine created by Tokugawa Ieyasu to protect Edo Castle. The basilica in Montreal seems very beautiful and splendid.

Tina, you are correct, it is located in Akasaka. Very nice place. I think shrines, temples and churches are great tourist spots! The basilica in Montreal is one of the most beautiful churches I've ever been in. They love having visitors.

Inari Fushimi was my first thought but it looks way to new & the steps definitely look wrong & the tops of the Torii gates look a bit wonkey

Is this not Inari Fushimi in Fushimi-Ku in Kyoto?
