Sounds like people are becoming interested in the Indy 500 again. Maybe one day it will recapture its former glory. It used to capture the worlds attention and imagination......and CART was on the verge of rivaling F1. Until 1995 that was. Third row for Hideki. Cool.

Mutoh used to race Super GT. He got a pair. Good spinner.

Did the boy really asked Hideki in Japanese for his autograph? :)

"Indianapolis Motor Speedway"
Isn't that a blatant waste of fossil fuels?

Sarge - No, they actually do it Flintstone style. You should see the thigh muscles on these guys.

Sarge: Good one, there are a few posters on here that would make that comment as a serious statement. The Indy 500 was always sort of the un-official kickoff to summer when I was a kid. Good luck to Mutoh and all the racers.

Pre-emptive strike: for those who would seriously complain about the fossil fuel issue, the answer is: they don't use fossil fuels. These cars run on methanol.
