A snow sculpture of Helsinki Cathedral is on display at the Sapporo Snow Festival which runs until Feb 11. It was built by the Ground Self-Defense Force to commemorate the 100th anniversary of relations between Japan and Finland. Quite impressive. Several years ago, there was the Ruins of St. Paul (Macau), which was also quite detailed and featured projection mapping at night.

LOVED the Yuki Matsuri when I visited Hokkaido. Sapporo is hands down my favorite big city in Japan

Outstanding! There's a big contest for this in Montreal every year, and the entries are quite impressive. I know this snow sculptor in my home town who made a wonderful Godzilla and airplane display in his yard. Creativity out of nature at its best.
