Natural wonders!

That looks low compared to normal years. It snowed a lot for a month from mid December, but has been very mild since late January. March had record temps. A lot of the snow at that spot is avalanche debris, not accumulated snowfall.

The scenic road connects Toyama and Nagano prefectures.

The "Alpen Route" does connect Toyama and Nagano, but it is not a "road" because half of it is cable cars.

Thankfully it isn't a road, but a route by trains, cablecars and buses through the mountains.

Far fewer eyesores, much less litter, no pachinko.
