Will it ever get better?

Any survivors (still waiting to be found) are going to be hard pressed now with heavy snow falling.

Snow aside this colder weather is actually a good thing in keeping those trapped waiting for help as they will not dehydrate as quickly if say it had been summer. Also, the bodies will keep longer in these colder temperatures without starting to rapidly decompose and smell thus not make the rescue and recovery teams’ jobs any harder than they already have ahead. I truly feel for all involved.

As if things weren't bad enough. People who are still trapped will definitely suffer more (if still alive), and even those who survived but don't have proper shelter. And needless to say the people working to find survivors and clean up are being eaten by this cold, too.

Agreed.
Snow makes it tougher for everyone up there.

The additional weight of snow is bad.
Something must go right, eventually.

I doubt there are any survivors buried under the rubble. Hopefully those who can wait for rescuers can take some timber and build a fire to keep warm. It may also create a signal for rescue.
My prayers go to them and their family!

Snow can go either way. If the person is not seriously injured, but trapped, melted snow would allow drinkable water, thus prolonging survivablity. The negative is hampered search, and the cold temperature, especially if injured. Drinkable water is a plus.

What about hypothermia? Will it set in, especially overnight?

Yeah, after all this, snow. It's got to get better.

Stay strong everyone in Japan. We have been humbled by your dignity through this awful time. Our thoughts are with you all.

Warm days can speed up their searches, hope the weather changes soon for both rescue heroes and survivors.

My heart is with you all.

I always heard bad luck comes in 3's. Nature is throwing in everything except the kitchen sink. My thoughts and prayers to everyone involved.
