Thats because these are the biggest Olympics to date. Every Olympics is full of controversy. What do you mean by the most controversy out of any Olympics? Are you referring to the figure skating? Because only two countries seem to have a problem with the decision.

They are THE biggest by COST and NOT by popularity. Sure, every Olympics has their share of controversy, but Russia takes it to a completely different plateau.

Russians are not honest and don't have integrity in your mind...I'm sure if they lost every event then you would be happy to consider them honest. Cold war is over and you shouldn't believe everything you see on TV. If you've never been to russia and experienced russian culture then you have absolutely no right to pass judgment.

I don't have ANY problem with Russians per say, but as far as how Putin runs the country, his attitude towards gays is pathetic and as I stated earlier, the man is as corrupt as they come. No, I don't believe everything I see on TV absolutely not, but I have been there and from my own personal experience, by what I have seen, I can formulate an opinion and how the country is run, the human rights issue, the corruption, what's going on in the Kiev, the Baltic's to even think that Putin is sincere or that the Olympics were done flawlessly and fairly is a gross understatement.

Pukey...dont let your blind hatred cloud your judgement. Dont pretend like mafia and embeselment are unique to russia. Do you think the yaks dont have a hand in everything that goes on in Japan, they sure will when it's time for the construction of the new olympic stadium. And enough with the pussy riot nonsense. They were disturbing public peace plain and simple. If it was the KKK that burst into a cathedral and started preaching their beliefs the same thing would happen anywhere. It doesn't matter if they are cute girls preaching gay rights, they are still disturbing the public peace.

Tokyodiman:

Thats funny knox Harrington because they were considered the most expensive

Yeah and we all know why it was so expensive - the money sure as hell wasn't used to make proper toilets or making sure clean water come out of the taps. Now that it's all over, it's business as usual - gay-bashing, corruption (not just limited to skating judges now), human rights abuses. I know, let's all throw the Pussy Riot members into prison again.

Great Games. Thank you, Russia! It's time to shine!

Beautiful closing ceremony! And I loved Russia poking fun at it's opening ceremony mishap with the one Olympic ring failing to light when they had that same ring in the closing ceremony slowly being opened by the dancers! Ha! brilliant!

Yes, there were issues and scandals, but if the visitors, athletes, and locals enjoyed it, then job well done!

Thats funny knox Harrington because they were considered the most expensive and well planned Olympics to date. They wanted russians to think wow. They wanted the world to think Russia is a power. Just the fact there are so many Russia haters after these Olympics proves they accomplished that. I know it hurts to lose but at lease lose gracefully.

So because these Olympics were so besmirched with scandals more than ANY OTHER olympics to the $50 billion that seem to have been embezzled, to the suspicious judges and not to mention the facilities not being completed during the games, the quality of foods and services, gives little doubt of the problems this particular Olympics had eclipsed lot of the endeavors and hard work and effort many of the athletes put in. Has nothing to do with hating the Russians, it has everything to do with the honesty and integrity and sportsmanship that the Russians completely lacked as a host nation. The people that lost were the athletes and the Olympic name in general.

While I'm sure they wanted the world to think 'wow' about Russia, these Olympics just made me feel even more 'meh'. Unspectacular Olympics if I ever saw any...
