Fifteen popular comedians from Yoshimoto Agency take photos of themselves and Masayoshi Son, chairman and CEO of Softbank, during the company's launch of its new mobile handsets before 3,500 specially invited guests at Tokyo International Forum. The comedians, who included King Kong, Shinagawa Shoji, Football Hour, License, Robert, London Boots, Sekai no Nabeatsu and Harumi Edo made comedy presentations for Softbank's 9 new handsets.

Shockers, all of them. Where's an asteroid when you need one?

blvtzpk -- agree. Problem is there are fifteen more just like them waiting in the wings to annoy us all.

aren't they char-min-guuu? seriously mobile handsets are overrated. just when I think I've found one that I like, they come up with a better one. And Softbank makes you pay for 2 years or so for something that'll be obsolete soon too! ;(

"Softbank makes you pay for 2 years or so for something that'll be obsolete soon"

Heck, I've had the same mobile phone for 6 years. Still works fine!

dorks... however, dorky culture. This would be seen as some sort of vanity sickness in the West.

Isn't the display screen small comparing to new ones? I haven't changed mine for two years but I'm curious about new features.

I agree with you Sarge. I've had mine for about 4 years now and no problems whatsoever. I can't see why you would really want to change your phone after such a short time. And anyway, after all the points I've piled up, when it does come time to buy a new one, I'll be able to get it for free.

popular comedians

These two words should not be used together in Japan because rarely are entertainers both.

Happy Weekend Son !

I read somewhere that these chaps are really pushing back the frontiers of comedy. Some of them shout, while others gently slap each other on the back of the head while a sound effect of a very loud slap sound goes off.

I understand that if we're really lucky, we can get to watch some of them eat food soon.

I for one can't wait. I wonder if the food will be either oishii or umai?

I wonder if I can get a ringtone of Son laughing all the way to the bank! Chucka Chucka Chuckle

What makes them obsolete? Are you no longer able to make and receive calls? I thought that's what telephone were for? The rest is just nonsense.
