Curry To Bury Cold (!)
Yubaru
Kara kuchi amyone? I bet any hot curry on a day like that would be tasty!
DenTok2009
If I could cook or bake something the Japanese would salivate over then I would scrape together the funds and refurbish a truck and travel from Hokkaido to Okinawa! Spicy curry in Hokkaido to I don't know what in Okinawa!
DenTok2009
Oh! I know! Mix some alcoholic drinks on the beach in Okinawa! Yup, being being a self employed cook/baker/bartender in my own moving store is the way to see the sights!

Taj Mahal is really doing well up here. I love their tandoori chicken. I doubt anybody will buy much curry today in this blizzard though. Anyone, please tell the Snow God to stop this snow, I have had enough of it.

Curry works just as well (some would argue better) in hot weather.

That's what I'd like to see, and not just in Hokkaida -- more trucks and stalls sending a different nation's good. I'd LOVE to see a hotdog/sausage wagon on the streets here and there, some nice Gluckwein in the winter (outside the German market they hold for a few weeks), some kebabs, etc. I hope the truck is successful.

Smith.
They are out there, but vary depending on location. Close to my home is a truck parked that sell Paella(across Tokyo), local german meat shops sells Curry-Wurst and Gluehwein. There are also a Kebab truck, Crepe, etc trucks out there. Granted not as much as overseas, but most say they don't sell downtown as rules and spots are tough.
Most of those trucks like Yatai(sic) got their spot/s where they can be found.

Smith, lol at the Gluckwein, has a really funny meaning in German. You probably meant Gluehwein. We have a soba/udon/curry rice truck and a kebab truck and a yakitori truck coming to our local beach in summer.

DenTok,
Your idea sounds wonderful and can be done in many places, but not Japan. You would need to have a permanent address some place. Not sure about the health form either if you have no place to live.
darbysan
would you like ice with that?
Serrano
LH10 - True dat, ha ha ha ha!

I bet the butter chicken is good too.
