The beach about100 meters from my window on Toyama bay is beautiful white sand beach, I can see the Norther Alps in the distance and not a single person is around perfect for swimming which often do this time of year.

Behold, the masks are gone!

That picture looks horrifying and uncomfortable. Also, what happened to wearing masks while in close proximity to others?

nah my pool in the backyard is far better full privacy BBQ cooking up a feast, a couple of my sons soccer team over for a swim and BBQ, no sand in your butt, no need to cart all your gear from the car/ house to the beach , then viseversa at the end of the day.

That's one helluva crowded pool. But, no different from the morning trains. Wouldn't find me in there, though - why call it a swimming pool when there's no room to actually swim? No wonder I hate pools and prefer the lakes and ocean. Not to mention the distance from screaming kids (not that I hate kids).

most of that people will leave the pool, put on their masks and get a shower full masked + face shield + protective goggles. They broke people's brains in 2 years. Round of applause for such an endeavor!
On a different note, yes, you need to pay me the big bucks to get near that pool.

See Japan, you can remove your restrictive masks if you really want to. It's great to see people's faces again.

I should be there, getting infected with"COVID" for the first time. Imagine all the bikinis.

For those who don’t know,
As for masks… wet masks, facial coverings, wet cloth over the mouth…
that is how you slowly torture people to death, a slow drowning as moisture builds up in the lungs. You can’t breathe out the moisture as the mask is wet. It has been a common and effective torture method for centuries.
just saying.
no way I’d swim or be in a pool with a mask on. If someone knocks you over and your head goes under, as soon as you pop up you try take a big breathe… suck in a heap of water to you lungs from the mask , and trapped between the mask and your face. A big shock for those who never trained to be conditioned to it (like some rescue swimmer/divers)
… no way I’d be in that pool anyway!
give me a beach, clean river/lake or a backyard pool,

Yomiuriland's pool will be closed during all the weekdays until July 18. Crazy, eh. Most Japanese need to be crammed together in order to have fun.
Not me. I'm off to Thailand in August to escape the Tokyo heat. The pools and beaches there aren't nearly as crowded or restricted.

Tokyo raises alert level amid resurgence in COVID-19 cases
Gee... I wonder why....

Looks like fun but they should be masked to avoid coronavirus.
