She played a role in NHK's morning drama series in 2001 (Chura- san Okinawa location) . Back then she was known as Murayama Maiko.

@Titanium I agree, I liked her in Liar Game as well. Great actress and under-appreciated in Japan, indeed. Between her and Shibasaki Kou, I don't think there are many J-actresses as known internationally as they are.

Talented? YES! she is when she's on her Japanese language dramas and films. But she is BORING when she's using english. Pacific Rim and 47 Ronin was the evidence . I hope she fixes her english or just do japanese. BTW gotta love her role on the drama "LIAR GAME".

She looks like Seiko Matsuda in 47 ronin, am I right?
