"high-end chocolates"
Today I saw a shop selling a heart-shaped box of around a dozen bite-size chocolates for 3,700 yen. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! For 3,700 yen I can buy 10 big size yummy Hershey's chocolate bars, each one containing at least twice as much chocolate as one of the heart-shaped boxes.

When I was visiting Japan I never ever tasted any of the chocolates. Whats the consensus for those chocolate munchers who are currently in Japan? Yes to local cocoa, or only buy imports? xD

Not much of a chocolate eater.
But personally not too fond of most japanese, american or british chocolate most of those are too sweet for me.
Central european Chocolate I do like though, more of a bitter taste.

Sarge, Hershey's is not chocolate. I don't know what it is, but to anyone outside the US, it's definitely not chocolate.

Obviously some people do have a real "sweet tooth" or even more.

Vader, Hershey's is most definitely chocolate, and millions of people all over the world will tell you that.
