Your recollection is not valid. There is something called a thermometer that does not forget or have an opinion. It just records facts. And that is what is indicating increased temperatures every year in Japan and elsewhere in the world. A record high, which is occurring often lately, means that on the day the temperature was the highest ever recorded. This is not opinion, it is fact.

LOL. in case you all missed the Global Warming memo...(issued a long time ago) and for me immortalized by Radiohead in the song idioteque...'this is really happening'

The seasons have been shifting by about a month each year, more and more since at least 2012. summer and winter last longer.Just look at how out of synch the Japanese festival calanders are becoming. Everyone acts surprised. It's not game over, but we are creeping up on the tipping point year on year.
