I'm not sure what you are responding to. There was no 's' in my post. I basically agree with Mirai Hayashi that the caption, 'Thunder and Lightning" would be a better choice.

I'm guessing that the usage of the title was in reference to Bohemian Rhapsody. It was literally the first thing I thought of when I read the title (had the song in my head all day yesterday as a results), and as others have mentioned it in this thread, it seems I wasn't the only one.

So you'd have to go to Queen if there is a dispute with the thread title. They coined the phrase.

@Farmboy

"Lightning"'s uncountable, innit?

You wouldn't say "thunderbolts and lightnings", any more than you'd say "peaches and creams."

Cool picture.

That storm was crazy. The thunder shook my entire house a couple of times.

The storm was about 3pm; by 5pm it was a sunny day again.

I was treated to a spectacular hailstorm from the office window.

@Mirai

"Lightning bolts", yes. Wanted to point that out, but thought I'd done enough English teaching for one post : )

Still, the song is still pretty excellent stuff....
