New reports say she's pregnant. But don't let that stop you. Forums have their quota of aggressive male nastiness to be filled.

Wow, thumbs down for saying someone is attractive. Still I think she looks very nice.

Yes, please, let us comment on this award-winning actress by pointing out she might've gained weight or her hair looks different now.

Pregnant or not I think she is cute and wholesome looking!

Nothing "aggressive" at all about commenting that the picture in the ads have definitely been photoshopped until she's literally portrayed as stick thin when compared with now. There's a reason why the term "thigh gap photoshop" is currently trending, it isn't because actresses and marketers all over the world are being forthright about weight and honest body images, and it has definitely been used in this particular actresses' marketing, regardless what you say about her presently being pregnant!

To NOT make a comment on the OBVIOUS and MARKED difference between the girl being packaging in the movie poster and reality would just be silly. To say we're being "aggressive" means you don't want us talking about weight or digital alterations to women's weight at all, which is much, much worse! It's literally destroying young women's self-images all over the world now. That's not right, and it's an industry-wide problem! If you still think it's just "lighting and angles," you're purposely keeping yourself ignorant about the deliberately false body-images being being pushed everywhere in the media world!

I think she looks charming in both pictures.

Wow people, never heard of pregnancy weight?

With the framing of this photograph, comments about her appearance (and how different it is) would obviously be unavoidable.

I think similar comments would be made anywhere, including, gasp, forums full of females.

I was just hoping for a quick synopsis of the movie, or who directs it, etc. The are a couple other names dropped on the bottom which seem to indicate the movie is likely French, but still.

The story (Ni d'Ève ni d'Adam) is actually written by Belgian writer Amélie Nothomb and was published back in 2007.

Snipped from Wiki:

An autobiographical novel, Tokyo Fiancée deals with a romance Amélie had with a young Japanese man in Tokyo, she was tutoring him in French language when she was 21 years old. The novel is partially concurrent with Nothomb's earlier novel, Fear and Trembling.

@cracaphat The poster was done in a studio with controlled lighting, angles, hair, makeup and photoshop. The pic snapped here was of a different angle, different lighting, different clothing, different pose, and her hair is pulled back so now her fringe isn't framing her face. Staging makes a world of difference!

Whereas we can all agree uniden must be a great looking bloke, secure in his own person and all that. The male gaze is endlessly charming

Readers, this ends discussion on the Etienne's weight.

Movie title sounds terrible too, it will probably belong to the "never to watch" category...

Here is the movie trailer.

Right, but if you said it to a relative's face over the holiday dinner table it would be considered nasty. Don't you feel at all weird while you type out comments about a woman's weight? You certainly wouldn't say it to a woman. But forgetting about sexism. Don't you feel like, "oh, this is something a bunch other doofuses are going to write." Thread duty: The title of this film makes it sound pretty dumb.

It's what happens when women get married. Too much cake!

-2 ( +4 / -6 )

haha , quite a bit of difference there, and if she is pregnant, should she be travelling at all ?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

good thing she's a celebrity - a normal person would take a lot of flak for gaining weight like that instead of being defended.

I don't know what some of you are on about. She looks way better in the above photo than she does in the poster behind her.
