I can hear the "cheering with their hearts" right through this picture!

Not many people, a carefully arranged propaganda shot of a few hundred people and 10 % of them are organisation staff or police.

It's hard to begin elucidating what is wrong with this....

Highly orchestrated, runners shuffling along, surrounded by oyajis and minders barking orders, roads lined with 'security', a convoy of cars and buses in attendance, must be costing a fortune.

What pandemic ?

Everything about this photo screams tedium - talk about boring - stupidity - everyone packed together - and control - cones, tape, marshals, buses and police herding the masses. The non-stop megaphone yelling fairly jumps out of the screen.

Remember it is only a super spreader event if YOU disagree with the cause.

lol The above poster said it perfectly.

I came here looking for all those hysterical people who've been screaming in unison "Super Spreader Event!!!" throughout the entire 2020 election cycle...where did you go? Is your job virtue signalling to the world done now, or are you simply extremely (also hypocritically) selective in sharing your sense of faux moral outrage?

What exactly are those masks still for, with distances of less than half a meter? lol

Public broadcast NHK deleted voices that oppose Olympics, anti-Olympics placards have been eliminated from roadside.

Olympics authorities and major media of Japan pretense as if opposition against Olympics is nowhere.

Zoom in on the photo and count the noses showing. We spotted 5 but not sure about a 6th. Below the nose people should be nicknamed, Wally's.

There is not one of our beach friends, neighbors and others we know from restaurants want the Olympics held. !00%

And also, 100% of the above want the shots. One nurse friend of ours got it already as she works in a big hospital. Hit a 41 temperature after her second shot, but it went away with 48 hours.

Ah. My friend, a former professional athlete and cancer survivor, carried the torch in Nara. When I read comments, about counting noses showing and other boorish postings - most of which (if not wholly) are foreigners - one wonders why they live in Japan. As if their remarks carry any weight or reflect anything other than a very marginal awareness of the culture. As for the Olympics, they will take place or not - at the moment it appears the games will commence in July. If they do, they do, if not, not.

Personally, I think people will attend the Olympics. The reason why people are tired of being locked up. I see it here in the states as soon as the restriction was lifted there were more people out and about on a normal day. The stores were crowded the restaurants too. I think the people will attend just to get out and enjoy life and not being locked up.
