Pretty. but not sure how it helps reducing violence against women.

I am not sure how all these awareness campaign actually helps to reduce violence. People do not see these purple colors as the symbol of fight against violence, if these campaign does anything, it only helps tourism and Instagram. There are other ways to help, painting the town purple isn't helping.

Typical political response to a problem. Do something that everyone can see, that costs a lot of money, and does nothing to address the problem but makes everyone involved feel good about themselves.
