Participants walk during a Halloween parade in Kawasaki on Sunday. About 110,000 spectators turned up to watch the parade featuring about 3,000 people dressed up in costumes, according to the organizers. It is the biggest Halloween parade in Japan.

Are they allowed to walk only half the side walk? It looks crowded.

Despite there's none of the traditional North American aspect of trick-or-treating, I have to say there's more variety and creativity in their costumes. It seems like the Japanese will cosplay anything. It was again a big turn-out this year and looks like they had a blast.

I have to say there's more variety and creativity in their costumes.

Now only if there was variety in the candy. My daughter is too young for the little piece of rock candy given out everywhere. The problem is the word "candy" in Japanese only includes these hard candies or "ame".
