Turkish delight

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, right, receives a souvenir from Turkey's Transport Minister Binali Yildirim during the inauguration of the underwater railway tunnel in Istanbul on Tuesday. Turkey is for the first time connecting its European and Asian sides, completing a plan initially proposed by an Ottoman sultan about 150 years ago. The tunnel, called the Marmaray, is among a number of large infrastructure projects under the government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan that have helped boost the economy but also have provoked a backlash of public protest. Japanese firms were heavily involved in the construction and financing of the project.

Wonder what they are saying:

"But, Shinzo, are you sure your nuclear power plants are safe?"

"Binali, my boy. Would I lie to you? They are as safe as a wind farm."

"But, Shinzo, we heard that you have trouble after an earthquake with a reactor in Fukushima."

"Don't worry, Binali. There was an incident with one tiny little reactor, but it's all under control now."
