UNIQLO COO Naoki Otoma poses with TV announcers, from left, Ayako Ito (NTV), Mika Sugisaki (Fuji TV) and Ryoko Mima (TBS) during a UT (UNIQLO's original T-shirt brand) 2011 spring/summer collection launch event in Tokyo on Monday. The 2011 UT concept is "Now! On T-shirts," and includes collaborations with some of the world's hottest designers and artists. The women's collection includes collaborations with Barbie, Disney and Cath Kidston, while men can enjoy Gundam, Naruto, One Piece and "Pirates of the Caribbean" designs. Here, Otoma shows "Midnight Blue" - a collaboration between the renowned jazz label Blue Note Recordings and UT. Partial profits from Cath Kidston's design (on Mima) will be sent to pro-health, pro-women charity foundations in Africa.

Japan's geographic surface is mountainous, Japanese women feel comfortable to go to work with their physically slim and fit body. Scientists also say The assets of intelligence a woman possess proportionately to her time of balancing her work and body care. UT makes Japanese consumers feel relaxing, charming and confident for not only their physical body shapes, but also for convenience of doing their specific activities - we don't wear a suit with tie on weekend ... or countryside trip drive. Thanks JT for your pictures ...

@JT Please, for the love of god, keep advertising 'them'.

UNIQLO is cheap, no-nonsense Chinese threads. OK, Im not gonna be called a style-master, but I often buy their stuff - it lasts for ages.

The woman on the left looks like she may actually have curves. Actually, the 3 in front don't look too bad. The girl in the back could use a sandwich or two. Nothing unique about Uniqlo.

the ugliest clothes in the world JT should stop advertising them. Or I will leave JT.

Is the guy on the far left what we can expect all the herbivores to dress like this summer? If so, please just kill me now. A new low for J-guys.

@ herefornow... really??? Definitely not a new low for them...J-guys have been dressing like that for a looong time now.

Ryoko Mima (TBS) is looking at me, while others at the camera ...

In the states we call this The Gap or Old Navy. What uninteresting style.

Sometimes Uniqlo has nice stuff, but I agree that lately I've just been pretty uninterested. They seem to be pretty stuck on "skinny" cut pants, which only look good on people who don't have a figure.

The last time I went into a Uniqlo, which admittedly was a few months ago, all I saw was flannel and puffy jackets. They had very little interesting, stylish clothing and oodles of flannel and puffy jackets. I left pretty quickly. I do check the website from time to time to see if there's anything I would want to go try on, but usually ... no. Not for a while now.

I use to like Uniqlo a lot, but recently their designs has become uninteresting to me

Are you serious?? About 10 years ago their clothes were about as boring as you could get.

Isn't that bird on some candy box somewhere?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

for some unknown reason I've always find people wearing suits kinda creepy...he(Otoma)doesn't belong in that picture for sure.

and I have to agree with Zenny..Uniqlo is fine as long as you try your own coordination. Ignore their advertisements.

I betcha Mr. Otoma isn`t wearing a suit from UNIQLO.

Ranger_Miffy: The Barbie is scary--so anorexic...makes the other healthy ladies look fat. No fair!

perfect. imo she is the only interesting aspect of that picture... apart from the mascot ;)

I find Uniqlo clothing ok, just need to try different arrangements than the advertised one.

But I could say the same for Kappa, La Coste, Eddie Bauer, etc.

Nice looking bunch of people but the clothes are kinda boring. T-shirts...yawn. So many more interesting things to wear. The Barbie is scary--so anorexic...makes the other healthy ladies look fat. No fair!

I use to like Uniqlo a lot, but recently their designs has become uninteresting to me. Seems like they are having a bunch of kids with no imagination design their clothes in these days.

My old Physics teacher always used to tell us Barbie could never stand up on her own if she was lifesize - here`s the proof!

Naoki Otoma may be the happiest man for a moment to pose the picture with three kawai TV announcers. Variety of graphics and themes are available for everyone. I may choose one ... T-shirt and Announcer with a flower ...Charity is another good campaign.

KansaiTruth at 07:10 AM JST - 8th March I'm gonna' have to go with the blond - second from right - as the hottest in this pic..!

You do that. That leaves the real women for the real men.
