Instead of feeling sorry for themselves they're going out and enjoying themselves and representing their country... Good on them.......

Hah I thought the same Tom. Looks like he only has one teeth heh. I dont believe im familiar with Ice Sledge Hockey, is this new?
kujiranikusuki
too bad people don't read comments at all... He has all of his teeth! That is his mouth piece. I thought the same thing at first, but then I did something amazing. Paid attention. I can see it now, this entire comment board will have 100 comments. 50 saying he has no teeth, 50 more more saying it is his mouth piece.

Turning disability to ability is always where the human spirit goes. And hey you beat Canada! We actually lost, that's momentous.
BTW the mouthpiece seems to be in three colours maybe so he can always put it on correctly, if I look closely I see black white and beige

He has no teeth!!! LOL Just playin with you, kijiraniku. (^^). Actually, I enjoy the Paralympic games as much as the Olympics. I can't believe some of the dedication and determination that some of these athletes possess. They sure teach me a few great things about life.

And even better, he needs no dentist!
DenDon
well done gents shame he'll get 0.1% of the attention and endless replays that you get for coming second in figure skating.

It`s called a mouthguard.
smithinjapan
Good job!!

Not a mouthpiece, too many pucks to the face! Or maybe he had a run in with Boogard!
sirgamble
No, not a "mouthpiece", a mouthguard!! Haven't any of you guys played contact sports before? I believe wearing a mouthguard is compulsory...
timorborder
Despite the image that hockey (and rugby) has, this guy is definitely wearing a mouth-guard. Back in the day, mouth-guards used to be transparent (who remembers fitting them yourself using hot water). Like everything else, however, these days mouth-guards comes in different colors and designs.

mouthpiece or mouthguard, who cares? In a free country, you can call it anything you want!
nemoflow
It is a mouth guard with colours matching his shirt. How anyone can not see this is beyond me.

Stop focusing on his mouth, and focus on the story. Sounds like it would be a blast to watch on TV, unfortunately not available. I wish that the Paralympics were more accepted as a legitimate sporting event, and given the appropriate coverage. Highlights on the news are great, but watching the events live would be better.

Well just goes to show that Canada doesn't dominate all aspects of Ice Hockey...Kudos JAPAN! Go figure one of the most brutal and contact oriented events of all the Paralympics (even more than Murderball) and it was won by a nation not necessarily for their size or aggressive behavior. Caught a little on late night news the other night...almost as exciting to watch as real hockey if not a little more knowing it is being done by almost exclusively upper body strength.

look maw, no hands!
