Women's volleyball has always been one of Japan's stronger sports. Good on them, and good luck with the rest of the matches.

Awesome game - only at the Olympics do I really get into sports like this. Great atmosphere, and great fighting spirit shown by both sides.

This is the first time Japan has ever won a volleyball game against China in the Olympics.( volleyball became an Olympic sport in 1964).

Congratulations! It was a great game. Glad I could see it. The fifth set was a real nailbiter as China had match point and could have closed it out, but Japan came back to win it in stunning fashion. In fact, every set went the distance. They just never gave up. Good luck in the next game against Brazil. That one will be a tough one.
