Village light-up

One of the places I have always wanted to visit. Hopefully some day

It's a pretty picture. I've been there.

If only the rest of the town (a typical mess of shabby concrete buildings, power cables, and neon) were as pretty as this.

There's been a lot of concentrated snow recently, so maybe a good year (Covid aside) to go for the illuminations, which aren't on for that long.

fwiw, Google Street View visited to the other famous thatched village, Gokayama, in Feb 2015, during another very snowy winter. You can see what the houses are like with big snow walls around them.

nice place will visit next month again.

strongly recommended for all of you.

Beautiful spot. Must get there one day, preferably when its under snow like this.

Wow! my new wallpaper

This is an awesome place to visit, along with the surrounding town. There is another place with similar buildings not far away. When we went there was no snow whatsoever, even though it was the middle of Winter right in 2020 before restrictions started.
