Wen has a lot more charisma than Kan. And probably better leadership skills. If I recall, he was in the disaster zone of their big quake in Sichuan within a few days.

VIP visits have reinforced the relationships of three Eastern Asian partners - China, Japan and South Korea. For Japan, China is its largest trade partner. South Korea is the closest trade partner by the sea and air transportation routes.
