Stupid cars for stupid people.

I actually think these cars look quite nice. But if I ever saw someone driving one, I would think that that person has a serious deficiency either physical or mental that they need to make up for by buying a diamond car.

Prefer cars with cute girls as hood ornaments instead.

I would dare anyone to drive that in the United States! Park it anywhere on a city street, and I guarantee people will pick at least one stone off.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I dare anyone to drive one of those anywhere in Europe.

Utterly tasteless

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I dare you to drive that in Nigeria or anywhere in Africa.

what a waste of $$$!

just a load of rocks. although precious stones do have their practical uses

kinda reminds me of Utopia (the book) where children are encouraged to play with gold/jewels as children and thus society views obsession about shiny things as childish, dress dour and concentrate of the more important things in life. Moore was a smart fellow

thought these were in a deep freeze.blizzard. all this crystal for this? what a waste of $$$!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

You drive such a car people will have a weird look (not admiration) at you; you park that car anywhere unguarded, you will lose some stones everytime and also other road users may lose their concentration on driving and crash into you. Such a car is only best in showroom for looking.

Not all females. You'd have to be a pretty serious attention ho to want to ride around in that. It is interesting to look at for a few minutes. Wouldn't have wanted the job of placing all those crystals on there with some hot glue and a tweezers, howevs.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

goes to show you can't buy taste. unfortunately a large percentage of the japanese population have yet to wake up to the fact that this kind of thing is a disgusting sham

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Only Females would ride that.

Um sorry but these were played out three years ago when they built them. But if anyone has $800,000 I have a SLR Volcano for sale.

I prefer an old car covered with nice poetry or pictures over it...worth more than Mercedes with million diamonds...

Yes yes yes!

Dumb. Need autoshow chics to make these even look good.

Only in Japan.....

Coming soon to a hip-hop music video near you.

I like how the crystals on the near Benz distract (almost) everybody from the fact it's wearing whitewall tires. Whitewalls! Haven't seen those since 1982!

And just think how heavy the cars must be now. Probably makes them slower than kei-class car.

german car dirty air..whoever buy it shud be ashamed... Actually, modern cars run very clean. Especially hyper-concious manufacturers like the Europeans. In some parts of the word, the exhaust coming out of a new Mercedes (or Porsche, imagine that) would be cleaner than the air going in.

Given the chance to drive one all of u would not hesitate

You couldn't be more wrong. I drive a Jaguar and I wouldn't want to be seen looking at one of those in person, much less driving one. I don't even like the wheels. The only way that could be more tasteless was if they used a Cadillac Escalade or a Hummer.

Sarge, a corvette, good idea.

I thought this was really creative. The auto industries are hurting. Not just in Japan. Publicity stunts are interesting. If this is a way to attract attention--without actually hurting someone like some publicity stunts are known to do, then more power to them.

I can only imagine the amount of work just to be able to display something like this. I admire the amount of sheer hard work and creativity involved in this. I've never even seen this in a movie. Perhaps some future Austin Powers or Pink Panther genre, maybe. When I see models wrapped in pastry and think how creative that is. Think, the only thing between you and them is just a bit of frosting, food coloring and flour, then it is not hard to appreciate crystal-studded cars.

Yes, people are suffering, true. Hard to miss that.

So are they. So is fantasy so bad?

Sarge, will you have that 'vette circa 1960's or 70's, please?

ahahahaha ok let me make a random guess about you. you love the shiny cars because they make you feel like travolta in saturday night fever. except your fever is for the men. you feel ashamed but the passion, the passion she burns strong like the ketamine. its a love you say, say it again, its a love is no wrong, we all need no?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I have to say, that looks amazing... I normally balk at things like this, but they're so crazy shiny! Like bamboohat, I also would be way too afraid of hitting something and ruining the whole car. Even a bug or a tossed pebble might mess everything up!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's a shame they didn't do one in pink crystals. For sure they would have been able to sell it to Paris Hilton - to match her phone.

I've seen these cars in person, this past summer in AmiMura in Osaka. They are pretty cool. They are quite the attention draw.

I saw them too but kept walking. I loathed the over kill.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Looks like crap.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Imagine the tiny crystals flying everywhere in a car crash. Yikes.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

They are quite the attention draw.

More so than a couple of gorgeous race queens? Perhaps, but race queens are replaceable and a lot cheaper...

Given the chance to drive one all of u would not hesitate

No way, I'd be too petrified to get into a fender bender and shatter the whole thing..

I'd like to see a Corvette studded with 300,000 Swarovski crystal glass.

Wait... do you mean they're meant to be used as advertising props to draw attention to the company and the products they actually manufacture for sale, and aren't meant to be driven around town by people eager to display their wealth and blind people despite the fact that children are starving in Africa?

I'm sorry, I refuse to believe that. Evil Japan Must Be Stopped.

The one in the foreground looks like its either teleporting or beaming up!

I'm trying to imagine the amount of work it took to put all of those on there evenly, permanently, and then take it through the car wash. I am also trying to imagine the time and amounts involved with routine maintenance to keep up the appearance, lost stones included.

Japan has its own breed of Punjabi Yuppies. They totally would buy it...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I like it!!!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Imagine being sad enough to want to be seen in one of those.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It doesn't even look good. What is the point? This is something that might be excusable on a VW bus or Beetle, but not a Mercedes. Only in Japan is class pronounced crass.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

It's the Mercedes-Bling SL600!

With everyone suffering from job losses, a bad economy, homelessness, etc. in Japan, its amazing how some people can have the nerve to display something as superficial as this...

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The actual car must be wonderful however in the picture it looks like covered with a mosquito net - customized or contaminated (?)!
