Where are the tourists? The old Japanese photographer?

Bilderberg, the fellow with the camera hanging around his neck sure looks like a tourist. Might be Chinese. Could be Japanese. Certainly a tourist.

People smile for all sorts of reason. Sometimes a smile is a sign of happiness and sometimes it's a flash of contempt.

Taj, that's certainly not a mainland Chinese tourist. Far too neat and composed. Also, he's keeping his hands to himself which is rare to see if it were a mainland Chinese tourist/shopper.

If that is a mainland Chinese tourist then maybe the Chinese government has started training Chinese to be polite and respectful to others before they leave the country. Right, who am I kidding? When pigs fly, maybe...

What are you trying to say? The woman is trying to discourage shoppers by smiling at them and making gestures to step inside?

Funny. All I see here is a nice welcoming smile.

Laughter is the best medicine and their are many benefits of smiling and laughter. In fact smiling can boost your mood and even your immune system. Smiles are contagious and can relieve stress by releasing endorphins. It is the most easily recognizable facial expression. It is actually easier to smile than frown. Babies are born with the ability to smile and generally women smile more than men. Just smiling can require your body to use up to 53 muscles, but some smiles use only 5 muscle movements. Researchers have even identified 19 types of smiles and put them into two categories. The polite social smile which engage fewer muscles and sincere felt muscles that use more muscle on both sides of the face. In the end while hand shakes, hugs, and bows all have varying meanings across cultures, smiling is known around the world and in all countries as the universal sign of happiness and acceptance.

There is nothing in those duty-free stores worth buying. And yet people waste their money buying stuff there.

I assume you're asking what the term means. Duty Free stores sell without the local country's tax added. Goods purchased typically have to be sent directly to the port of departure as they are not allowed to be worn/used in the host country.

I've checked some camera prices in those Duty Free Stores and they always look more expensive than the retail shops.
