Have to give them credit for this win. Not always does a team win unless all players, of the team, have competed in perfection. So they obviously did in this game.

Congrats to the volleyball team. Unfortunately, Japan's overall performance has been fair at best -- 3rd in both total medals and golds behing China and S. Korea. With less than 1/4th the number of golds as China. Japan needs to either re-vamp its amateur athletics structures to make them more productive, or lower expectations to more reasonable levels.

I agree herefornow, before the J-pundits start comparing China's population size to Japan's as reason why China had so many more medals, here comes South Korea at less than half the size of Japan in terms of population, yet with lots more medals.
