Just for the record B girl here is a middle aged woman, Fukushima (40), and was defeated by the youngest girl in the competition, a 16 year old Lithuanian girl last night.

Sports and Games - life in full flow. The young and the young at heart love challenges and counter-challenges. The historic city of Leuven offers platforms to all categories of athletes to test their skills against the very best on the Planet.

I'll tell you something.

This is way more relevant to most people than gymnastics or modern pentathlon.

The Olympics has to move more with the times.

That's so eighties...

Middle-aged woman or not, she moves extremely well. It beats running around the park to keep fit and healthy.

Why isn't it worthy of being an Olympic sport?

Very cool. I'll enjoy watching that at the Olympics.

And anyone who thinks it's not a sport has never tried balancing their entire bodyweight on one hand before...

At one time or another, ALL the sports considered serious sports weren't believed to be so. This is a sport. I doubt if it dies out because old people can't see its value as a sport. Well, I for one am going to enjoy this one even more than shot-putting, clay pigeon shooting, and the power walk. Lots more action to enjoy.

If you are you are goin' to get into "breaking". Ayumi Fukushima, known as B-Girl Ayumi is 40, you must perfect an African Finger Snap.

You can add some lingo along the way, I would hold back in the supermarket.

Ah, break dancing. Why do I suddenly have the urge to slip into big, baggy, nylon parachute pants, call someone on a brick-sized cell phone, and listen to music from a suitcase-sized cassette tape player?

I'd suspect it's because you're so out of touch with the youth that you don't realize breakdancing has been going on since the '80s, and is hugely popular right now. Maybe because you've been living in a bubble in Japan, although to be fair it's also very popular in Japan.

Oh, I realize that a lot of dumb stuff has been going on since the 80's, and that a lot of goofy stuff is quite popular in Japan. That latter part is certainly no secret.
