And, on the tracks on the upper left, a speeding shinkansen! Great photo, Evans!

Wow! That is a fantastic picture. Very "Blade Runner."

Fantastic framing; great timing in getting the train; good lighting to boot.

Well done Andrew!

This is an awesome photo. Perhaps the best I've seen on this site. It captures the very essence of Yurakucho.

Great picture. Reminds me of pulling out of a big city station on a shinkansen at night, looking down on the town seeing all sorts of things going on. Knowing that within just a few minutes, you'll be speeding between ricefields and farmer's shacks in the boondocks where some crusty old guy is inside warming up with a bottle of sake while his old lady serves him up a bunch of grub. And feeling good to be going back home to inaka.

Fantastic pic! Have you ever tried to get a table at the Yakitori stores? Not very gaijin friendly!

Look at the people overflowing into the street. I reckon it would be hard for the Emperor himself to get a table.

I've never had trouble getting a seat when there are open ones. Sometimes I'll even be invited to sit down with salarymen or ojisans.

How this brings back good memories of last summer!!!!! We never had a problem at any of the places always felt very welcome

You must be very insecure, or unable to communicate: NOT friendly? What a joke, the place welcomes all and everyone. Had some great nights down there.

Neither of the above! There was a table free at the first place we(2 gaijin couples 3 who are fluent in Japanese)tried."Muri" was the reply from the master!Muri as in the table couldn't seat 4,when i looked back 5 Japanese were sitting down! Next place the old lady said "No English" even though we tried telling her in Japanese that we could communicate in her language! When we did finally get a seat i noticed another foreigner couple struggling to get a table. Anyway maybe it was a bad night!Insecure or unable to communicate!I think not!!

I have no doubt colasan and his friends were refused by that yakitori san. Fortunately, he ( the yakitori san ) and his fellow narrow-minded buddies are in the minority.

Quick to sweep your brush across the whole district though. Nice to read you back pedal, gone from, "Have you ever tried to get a table at the Yakitori stores? Not very gaijin friendly" to two places saying, allegedly, 'no'. Move on.

There were more but decided to keep it short!Moved on ...so do the same!
