The Kong Show: Interview with Tower of Power's leader and founder, Emilio Castilio

Arguably, the best, most funky horn section in the world, Tower of Power blew through Japan recently delighting fans ranging in age from their early 20s through 70s and beyond with high-energy, hit-packed shows at Billboard Live in both Tokyo and Osaka.

We had a chance to catch up with the founder and leader of the group, Emilio Castillo (who also plays sax and sings,) and talked about a variety of things including concert audiences in Japan, a member of his group that got hit by a train (really,) politics, Trump, terror, technology, using iPhones at concerts, Yondr bags and plans for the band's upcoming 50th anniversary.

It’s a radio-style interview, so just crank up the volume and enjoy. Special thanks to Billboard Live and FM Cocolo.

You can find a complete history of the group on their website.
