The Kong Show meets Leo Sayer

Singer/songwriter, Leo Sayer the man who gave of some of the most iconic hits of the late 1970s, like “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing,” “More Than I Can Say” and “When I Need You,” was just here in Tokyo performing at Billboard Live. His shows were well attended by devoted and enthusiastic fans who, after the concert, were anxious to shake his hand and get an autograph.

The Australian-based singer told us this was his first performance in Japan in 34-years.

On stage he was energetic, cheeky, fun and funny playing his blues harp and singing his biggest hits plus songs from his newest CD “Restless Years” (Yes, he’s still making new music) and always making contact with his fans.

We had a chance to catch up with Mr Sayer just before his Billboard show in the Shiba Prince Park Tower, and in this interview, among many other things, he talks about his run-in with Sir Paul McCartney, the request he got from Celine Dion and how he lost all his money.
