The Kong Show: Projection mapping in Osaka

This beautiful holiday projection mapping was created by the students of Osaka University of Art under the guidance of visiting Prof Ryotaro Muramatsu and Prof Shinobu Nakagawa. The students have created a colorful and imaginative depiction of a short history of Osaka.

The students also built the conceptual framework, composed each scene and drew up raw images for each scene. There’s also an inspired avant garde soundtrack that goes along with each 8-minute show running continuously from 5 to 9 p.m. each night until Dec 25.

Additionally, there are many "yatai"-style food booths in the park adjacent to the projection, offering all sorts of food from delicious steaks to hot wine and rainbow-flavored marshmallows.
