They worry about the deficit... but yet they still raised tariffs on U.S. Beef to protect their domestic market. The answer is simple... issue more National Debt... heck $30 or $40 Billion more a year is not big deal considering Japan is already $11 Trillion in debt, and buy more U.S. Weapons.

There will be no action taken against Japan's massive trade surplus. This surplus is due to high tech and other critical imports for the US. Japan's economy is too valuable to treat like China or Mexico

Shows the USA is isolating themselves from the world. Japan has to work with the new TPP which includes China. All the USA can do to lead is fear mongering, the evil North Korea. If the USA wants to step aside, it is up to Japan to make new friends.

"There will be no action taken against Japan's massive trade surplus."

What is Japan afraid of by refusing a one on one trade agreement with the U. S. A.- that would offset these surpluses.

Japan has one on one trade agreements with other countries, why not the U. S.?

There's a problem when I have to pay $45,000 in Japan for a car that would cost less than $35,000 in the US.

I had to settle for a Japanese car because European models are just too damn expensive.

Wait, are you telling me things cost different amounts in different countries? How dare they!

Don't forget it is America First! This means it is Japan second. or third, or ..... Japan must also continue supporting the US economy and military by buying more US weapons. Abe is under Washington orders.

Since Perry first came to Japan in Edo era, US has been forcing unfair treaties .

What? Since when is China included?

"The pact was finalised and signed by Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam in Tokyo on January 23. The original deal (then known as the TPP) in 2016 was also signed by the US. China was not part of the framework."
