Abe needs your hard earned money so that he can give it away to other countries!

The Japanese people really need to get a grip and do something about the dysfunctionality present in Japan.

failed prime minister unable to achieve any semblance of success, and a failed economics advisor who despite dozens of examples from around the world spanning over a century, still believes that stimuli and tax increases will actually help his nation.

this guy must also be best friends with the justice minister, currently scratching his head as he wonders where those thousands of slave laborers (scratch that: international students) disappeared to.

sometimes this country is too much.

how is it that people with so little talent and such a lack of common sense are able to get so far? these people are in fact the bottom feeders of the intellectual pool, why are they shaping how we have to lead our lives?

The problem is the corporations. They refuse to play along. Corporate profit growth is strong, while wage growth is weak - a distortion created solely by the greedy private sector, not the public.

If the govt wants more revenue, then it should get it from the companies: they've got a lot more money than we do. Clean out the bank vaults in Singapore and Panama.

Isn't it interesting to see that when something "hits home", many suddenly turn against it.

Many liberals seem quite sympathetic to higher taxes in other countries, but cry foul when it directly affects them. What's good for the goose....

Half a percent increase every 6 or 9 months or just reduce to 9 % would have less shock

Foge ahead, never admit failures, how much worse could it get?.......a lot. But at the end of the day saving face is more important than saving the country.

Because Stupid is as Stupid does. The economy will again dive deeper into recession because the fossilized brains only know one thing to do: raise taxes.
