What exactly was the population expecting? For the past 5 years, nothing has changed with regard to all the promises. It's a bit late now to have buyer's remorse. You all should have been more vocal and pressing for change. Instead you voted Abe right back in.

When the word ‘shuffle’ was used, I thought it was referring to their decrepit movement.

We need an explanation as to why the previous cabinet was a failure.

Well, how can you view his so-called "reshuffle" as positive with the same Oyajisan personalities rotating with the same or almost the same ways of thinking. I hope more women enter the political Cabinet, but I don't think as long has Abe is in charge, it will increase any time soon, unless they share the same or similar views as him and his Oyajisan Cabinet.

Goodlucktoyou - @ do the hustle. I think if you check it may be less than 55percent. poll was 1000 chosen people

The national elevtion that put the LDP in power. Got it?

@madden. Live here a few years and you will understand. We have no choice, just like Singapore, Cambodia, NK, China..,just fight for the constitution, enjoy living in one of the best countries in the world. I love here.

Maybe of those 45.2% went out and voted against the LDP we'd be able to make some changes! It's so frustrating that the majority of the public is against most of Abe's plans and character yet they either vote him in or can't be bothered to vote. Whatever, you reap what you sow.

33.5 percent said they see no problem with his reappointment.

I guarantee you I could survey a select 1000 people down here and Abe's approval rating would be 0%

Since last year, Abe has been haunted by allegations that government officials provided special treatment to a pair of school operators linked to him

These are not allegations, they are facts. It's a fact that officials in the finance ministry falsified documents to cover up their illegal activities. The real scandal is that no one is in jail.

Ooops ust is just!

I don't want to comment anything what could be reshuffled or ust to think this is what Abe and cia. don't know what is a reshuffle meaning.

Abe's new cabinet consists of really first time members and zombie members who resigned by scandals in the past.

That one lady in the photo? The new Revitalization Minister Satsuki Katayama?

In case many of you forgotten, she irked Anime, Manga and VOCALOID fans back in 2013!

Remember? https://soranews24.com/2013/07/07/the-untimely-demise-of-hatsune-miku/

No better way to dispel those cronyism scandals than by appointing a cabinet entirely made up of your croneys.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

They don't need to (pretend) to care about public opinion anymore, they hold all the power. And the people are just Minions.

cabinet shuffle or not its the same people. A Japanese cabinet shuffle is like a game of musical chairs with the same number of chairs as people. Everyone has to move around, but everyone has a seat at the table in the end. The minister of tranportation becomes the minister of agriculture with agriculture becoming transportation. What difference does it make cabinet shuffle or not? And who cares what the Japanese people think of it anyway? These lemmings are going to continue to vote for these LDP idiots no matter WHAT they do. I mean after weathering Moritomo and VARIOUS corruption charges including some tied to Aso and the Finance Ministry, do you really think Abe gives a hoot about what the public thinks of the cabinet shuffle and whether or not the people approve?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

After all the scandals and outright lies it beggars belief that the approval rate is so high.

i noticed the Olympic slogan is 'Diversity in Unity'.

Abe's cabinet doesn't look too diverse to me.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

.... the rest couldn’t care one one way or the other.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

I wonder what percentage of those who are displeased with the government are part of the 55% of people who actually voted.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

How could people be impressed. It is the same old people doing the same old stuff. No new ideas or plans will be implemented, just tow the Abe line and hope to get rich or gain more power through whatever means.
