The headlights be should read, "Shin-chan arrives in New York to await orders from Donny."
Shin-chan and Donny are as useful as reproductive organs on a nun.

"Proof is in the pudding", any trade deal needs to be on paper, as Trump can not be trusted.

Abe will sacrifice everything to make sure that great again.

PM Abe is a major earth polluter!
Not only has he used air travel more prolifically than any other Japanese PM, but he also has another plane flown to his destination, in case one of the planes has an issue.
If climate change is a problem that can be linked to man made activities then Shinzo Abe is exacerbating the change-big time!

I'll say it again. abe had better play his hand well in this. donnie is desperate for a deal and abe has a lot of indicators that are pointing negatively for the economy so it would be prudent to wait for a good deal and not rush just to appease orange man's desperation. Just today in the Nikkei it has been noted that Saudi Aramco will probably not restore production by the end of September and has changed its delivery of light crude to medium and heavy which is more expensive to process, thus possibly hitting prices at the pumps. Collateral damage due to the trade war between China and donnie is being felt throughout the economy, the issue with Korea is aggravating the damage, the 10% consumption tax is set to go live, and the very real possibility of the post Olympic recession will be upon Japan next year. abe had better stick to his guns on the auto tariffs and not cave, or don't bother coming back and instead should go work and live at mar a lago as a bus boy. BTW, I heard in passing that both abe and trump will not be joining the climate change conference at the UN and Koizumi thinks it should be "sexy and fun." There in a nutshell is what we're dealing with when abe and donnie meet.

Curious how much he's sold out. Time will tell I guess.

In the photo he is literally twiddling his thumbs. What a leader.

Trump wants a deal. He’s lost the soybean market and farmers are feeling it. More chapter 12 bankruptcies. House still timid on whistleblower on Ukraine Biden abuse of executive power. Impeachment still possible.
Abe clearly has the hand here but Abe isn’t going into this fighting. He’s on the same team as Trump. Leverage Abe leverage.

Trump is the world's worst negotiator. He uses his Mafia-style tactics....threaten and hope the other side backs down.
That doesn't work in trade deals between countries. It only works in Crime Syndicates.

Too bad for you that there is zero evidence of this.

Nice little bit of globe-trotting. I hope that young lady from Scandanavia fries their asses. She sure did a good job at the UN. I told my best friend, today, that I could only wish to be alive when she's in charge. But, at my age, that ain't gonna happen.

Must be a very difficult task for Mr.Abe, you can see his face in a very grim one!

Keep in mind that any trade deal will be America First and to hell with the rest.
quercetum
Too bad for Trump there is no evidence for Biden and his son's wrongdoing. There is evidence Trump withheld military aid to Ukraine in order to dig dirt on Biden.

Trump is the world's worst negotiator.
Yeah, that's the way our economic rivals see it. That's not how most Americans see it.
Already we have improved deals with Canada and Mexico and the one with Japan is virtually done.
Keep in mind that any trade deal will be America First and to hell with the rest.*Abe is going for the best deal for Japan and Trump is going for the best deal for America, as it should be.
It'll be good for both countries.
Chip Star
Nope. The new NAFTA hasn't been ratified by Murder Mitch and the trade deal with Japan is nothing more than Donny's word, which is as worthless as Anne Frank's drum kit. Try again.
Chip Star
We are in agreement.

@Trevor.
I'm in my late 50s, and felt the same when i saw her a few days ago face the UN as a young girl begging the rich, powerful, and ruthless to do the right thing.
Then, on Monday I saw her as a woman warning them that if they didn't, they'd be made to, and held responsible for not doing the right thing voluntarily.
Now I won't be surprised to see her, or someone like her, making statements about what needs to happen, and a week later be making statements about what needs to happen next, because what she called for last week has been accomplished.

Great golfing weather right now, here.
