What else do you expect the BOJ to say? If they put out anything BUT upbeat news it would be the death knell of Abe and his Abenomics agenda, that they STILL, (lord only knows why) believe in as the savior for the country!

BOJ consistently keeps upbeat view for at least 5 years under Abe govt. Optimistic is better than pessimistic.

Well now that there will be massive rebuilding in the flood hit areas that should improve GDP. So it goes with the Keynesian BS economics
Ricky Kaminski
That was an awesome sentence.
Also see massive untapped potential for rural areas, they just don’t know it. There’s a lot of “There’s nothing here!” talk, but if imaginations are fired to the possibilities.... free up some of the country side and encourage SMART immigration, lighten up the beaucratic maze to encourage entrepreneurship in small scale incremental economic experiments. Stand back and watch what happens. If it works it’s a win right? Rural areas would be ideal.
Ganbare Japan!
Good news. Things continue to tick along nicely, not just in Tokyo and Osaka, but all the regional areas. Wages up, economy growing, tourism up as well as record low unemployment.

Record low unemployment Record low birth rate. Upbeat talk despite the 5 years of a slowly shrinking economy, Household spending regression, that's 60% of the economy not able to purchase exta items! Children living in poverty that's a statistical growth. But Japanese people continue their love affair with LDP muppets. If you happen to be related to a family that produces concrete or cars..it's boom time. If you are on a part time contract just be happy you can eat.

These upbeat views of the BOJ are completely at odds with recent economic statistics for Japan and even the BOJ's own recent Tankan survey.
