My deepest condolences to the car industry and important business for Japan. There is a saying look at the big main exports and not at the minimum possible export a country need.

I think it's more of a win for the U.S. as always.
Japan's economy has already been affected greatly since the Plaza Accord was signed in 1985.
Our supposed best buddy did that to Japan's economy which many don't like to talk about. How much wealth was lost for the Japanese people? An economy who was close to surpassing the U.S. was blunted and stopped for decades... Lost decades as we call them.
U.S. For Japan is like a double edge sword, it might help us one day.. But we keep getting cut by them in the meanwhile.
