The above is a Russian ultranationalist's perspective. That the USSR played a huge role and paid a huge price for its role in defeating Nazi Germany cannot be denied. But to ignore roles played and sacrifices made by the other Allies is just a jingoistic distortion of facts. I have read US Americans say the USA won the Second World War, but they are the same ones who want to keep US schools teaching a whitewashed version of US history,. i.e they are not the brightest paragon of animals.
