Totally agree with you.

Rather than ridiculing these folks or trying to silence them, I think it is more effective to engage them respectfully in an open forum. You may not win them all over right away, but it is a better strategy in the long run.

Often 'grassroots' activists are paid by states and big money interests to push their agendas.

Certainly the far right and others in the global anti-democracy, pro-authoritarian movements have benefited by financing groups like Qanon, using them to rile up the easily riled and further splinter nations with bits of democracy remaining.

People who whine about a rigged and fraudulent election THIS time need to take cold hard look at American history: the election system and the way it has been administered has always been rigged by the powerful to protect their financial interests and political power at the expense of the poor and disenfranchised. The rise of the Donald has forced Americans, at least those who have the courage, to look under their election rock. Yeah, people are naturally drawn to comment on articles about people doing stupid things. There is a pattern to it. An article about a car accident caused by someone looking at their phone will get a lot of comments. An article about someone being arrested for leaving their kid in a car unattended while they play pachinko will get a lot of comments. An article about a certain city winning its bid for the Olympics and then seeing the costs explode afterwards will receive a lot of comments.

I saw a demo of these folks last Wednesday in Ginza. They were quite a lot. One of the leader in Japan is a the leader and the one who created Koufuku no Kagaku 幸福の科学 or Happy Science, à powerful group between religion and sect.

In East Chiba, Ichinomiya coast, the group was able to build recently one of their university, a 3-4 storeys building . It is just between the road and the sea and destroys the landscape. I wonder how much money the group put on the table to get the approval from local politicians

I don't really care that much who won, but that election was rigged from the start. Biden could have never won. The guy barely appear ever on tv. He is more like a puppet for the democrats than actually a leader. Every rich guy want to go back to those days when they are making money and doing business with shady countries.
