Good on Japan. While this country has long had a strange affinity for Myanmar, sending these two back would be sending them to their death. Perhaps the authorities in Kabukicho are coming to their senses regarding that kleptostate.

It takes being a diplomat to not be forced into a detention center. At least they're not getting deported.
