Maybe it wouldn't hurt them to get some advice on how to perform in the media. Body language and all that... Because the photo itself says a lot.

It seems to be the done thing either before or after these kinds of meetings for the attendees to all sit in their chairs for the cameras like waxworks with leaden expressions on their faces. They do the same thing in Japanese courts for the TV news.

3 men. So upsetting. The Outrage.

Tweedledee. Tweedledum. Excepting Ms. Noda.

As for Suga. He was supposed to keep the throne warm, not usurp it.

Japan, the politics of the 1950s with upgrades, is hardly sufficient to undertake and successfully forge a sustainable state that will flourish in the 21st century. Abe, Suga, even their inheritors such as Kono or Kishida, let alone the fascist leaning Takaichi, who is a throwback to the 1930s - all are incapable of actually grasping the task ahead and the means to create a viable state that addresses the future and is myriad challenges. Which is not about Empire or the Nikkei. Essentially, the future is about ecology and adverse impacts wedded to the environment, which requires radical change and indeed a change in consciousness. Not necessarily a technocratic fix - but, a mix and retention of the traditional and customary and applicable advances in science & technology - which is NOT the future charted out by Musk, Gates, Zuckerberg, Page, Brin and other technofascists. But, one that tends towards the organic - the only politico close is Noda - and she far from ideal.

People still fail to realize that the Olympics was the downfall of Mr.Suga! His mind was so preoccupied with it that he made blunder after blunder from late June to September ( G7 summit isolation, Hiroshima speech mishap, being bullied by Bash, no motivation when giving public speech about Covid-19 measures )! Mr.Bash seemed to openly undermine Mr.Suga and made him look weaker. I remember Bash saying at one point that even if the Japanese people don’t want the Olympics we will still have it and Suga didn’t stand up to him. To some level I feel sad because I was rooting for Mr.Suga to become one of the best PM in Japan since he didn’t come from a political family background ( his parents were farmers if I’m not mistaken ). Just imagine if he had stood up to IOC and said that the safety of Japanese people is paramount and hence Japan can’t hold the Olympics! But in the end he didn’t have to spine to make a stand.

Wake me up when it's all done, then again nah don't bother

The Quad summit should be postponed until Japan has its new prime minister. Suga should stay out of it. That's the right thing to do, but that doesn't seem to happen much in Japanese politics.

They will get another dinosaur

I will miss strong man Suga. They speak nice but they cannot control LDP.

So these are our choices? The three stooges?
