1 more tripp on taxpayer's weak money.

Lovely.

Maybe he can personally ask to see Josh Hawley and devise the best way to keep running away.

For what?

To get one more free trip to the states, on the tax payer's yen?

To meet another guy who will soon be out of office?

Keep riding that gravy train to the very last stop

Incredible. These politicos have no shame when it comes to dipping their grubby mitts into the gov't cookie jar.

He's leaving. What possible official purpose will this trip serve? I can see his successor making the trip soon after being appointed. But, Kishida? I guess he wants the public to see another example of Jiminto entitlement, lest they forget.

"Some in the Japanese government think Kishida's successor should not develop close ties with Biden, the Yomiuri said."

That's a great idea!!!

A good melody to play while there,

He is going explain why he is steeping down to his masters, Washington.

Similar to former PM Koizumi, a diehard fan of Elvis, paying an “official” visit to the U.S. weeks before stepping down … to visit Graceland.

Scamming the country out of a free shopping trip.

September might be the best timing. WHO could be declaring a global health emergency. Kishida may not be able to get back to Japan.

He likes his holidays !

At our expense.

When time has passed and someone asks me about his term, I think I would remember it as when the Yen crashed and the guy who travelled a lot.

Awesome! Just top up those air miles before delving into obscurity.

Personally, I don't have a problem with him visiting the U.S. He's got lots of issues that will not get wrapped up before he steps down, some of which are probably best delivered in person to Biden. I'm more worried that the change of PM will have little or no effect on Japan's economy. The DPJ really needs to get it's thumb out...

Called it right. Snout deep in the trough sponging off the taxpayer right to the end. What a scumbag he is.

Yes, the PM at that time was no the PM now. That was a long time ago, and PMs change.

Perhaps a special medal or something for Dear Kishida for doing everything the American security state asked of him. Add in a pat on the back as he exits the stage while the USA lobbies for his replacement.

Strangerland: "Yes, the PM at that time was no the PM now. That was a long time ago, and PMs change."

Don't they, though? Ask anyone in Japan to list the number of PMs from 2000 to now and the dates they served. Isn't it about 20? And keep in mind, at least two of those did more than three years. And try not to look it up before answering (if you can).

The final bow to his puppet masters. Good one Kishida, enjoy your free vacation.

Just got to get that one last junket in. The guy knows no shame in bilking the taxpayers for his unnecessary travel.
