His way of asking for help, no one is listening Kim, everyone is busy with their own issues.

And still no one is paying attention to Kim.

Another toddler tantrum from NK.....

13 ( +16 / -3 )

The projectile was fired toward the Sea of Japan, also known as the East Sea,

Sigh, like a broken record trying to be P.C. It is only known as the "East Sea" to the ignoramuses who stubbornly refuse to acknowledge that the Sea of Japan is the correct name, both in terms of geography as well as history.

Anyhow, no word from South Korea yet? No "regrets?"

This is a coward act by Tiny Kim. Threaten the region when all neighbors are already terrified in an unprecedented crisis. The world wont forget this, Tiny Kim.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Just shoot it down and send it back to NK. And while you’re at it, take the idiot, Kim out of his miserable life.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Fireworks again, may be this virus will help solve the N.K issue.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

A child crying for attention.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

I think NK might actually be trying to get the attention of China rather than the U.S with these launches. They are the only country in a position and possibly willing to give significant support and aid to NK in times like these. It probably can't cope with it's own epidemic that it's been trying to hide and is becoming desperate. Food might running out too.

The DPRK more often than not listens to China. It, however, does not stop and heel when China tells it to.

If China has full control over the DPRK, it wouldn’t do a lot of things it does.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North fired the two projectiles, presumed to be ballistic missiles, from the port city of Wonsan into the Sea of Japan, also known as the East Sea.

Slight correction: "...into the Sea of Japan, known in Korea as East Sea".

Always amazed how SK manages to translate their name Donghae into "East Sea" in international press releases but don't do so with the East China Sea aka in Korean as South Sea (Namhae) or the Yellow Sea aka in Korean as West Sea (Seohae).

It is also a good way to get rid of not wanted missiles.

I love the ominous juxtaposition of the cute pic of Kim arm wrestling with Trump.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I don't know who looks more pitiful, Trump or Kim.

NK is begging for help because of COVID-19. They are hoping China and the US gives them aid.

North Korea is secretly asking for coronavirus aid from other countries while publicly denying that it has any cases

Trump just put Kim's people on the line.

Very curious to know what the situation is like in North Korea with regards to the coronavirus. If you thought China and Iran were secretive, you ain't seen nothing yet!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

There's an obvious reason for North Korea having reported no cases of COVID-19. It's quite possible they've had them but have taken measures to exterminate anyone showing symptoms of the virus. It could also be they are covering it up somehow in order to avoid being in the spotlight. We will probably never know.

These missile launches, on the other hand, are, in my opinion, a prelude to worse things to come. Kim is taking advantage of a vulnerable and volatile time as an opportunity to assert his power.

@David_Shawn_Kanda absolutely, this is disgusting what Kim is doing here. Yeah, use this whole coronavirus pandemic as leverage to scare the rest the world to try to get what he wants? Yeah, absolutely disgusting.

@Oldman_13 yep you say! I live in the US still, but I’m working on moving to Japan, and I could tell you a thing or two about how PC things have gotten here in the US. Thank God that things haven’t gotten that far, at least on maps here anyway, otherwise I think I would lose it.

It’s just sad to see this ahole doing his thing when the world is fixing itself. If this fatpig wants peace, instead of lunching missiles, why not lunch some kind of medical supplies to your neighboring countries so that the virus won’t get to you? Oh I forgot this pig is a spoiled kid.

I expected this, and Russia has been quite but I suspect something from that side as well. Touchy feely is not how these people operate; this virus has exposed a vulnerability in defenses. You can bet there will be a vaccine that covers the spectrum or else...just a matter of time before these and other actors are up to no good.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Japan is authorized to take defensive measures, why not use those measures as exercises which is not against the Constitution. It doesn't have to be each time they fire projectiles aimed at Japan but defensive means only. The US would not mind one bit and has been patiently waiting for Japan to step up, that much is true. Enough time has passed and again nothing says Japan cannot or will defend itself. Exercises designed or even a posture at defense does not always mean it is attacking any of its neighbors but simply carrying out what any country does to protect their citizens.

Maybe the only card they have left? Just keep playing it...

Nowadays if you wanna get some attention and possible some help you have to have some coronavirus cases.

Launching missiles no longer works.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

If the Coronavirus wasn't bad enough, now this little nuclear Frankenstein country is spitting out missiles again.

China has no control over this little beast, so maybe it's time for Mr. Art of the Deal to write Kim another love letter.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Nothing Japan can do about it but watch since Washington approves of the missile launches through "beautiful letters" and Trump's love for Kim.

What? Of course they don’t approve it, so what should they do? What’s the liberals point of view? You guys hate war, Trump hates it as well, so what should he do to reign Kim back in line?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

These NK missile launches kind of remind me of the bosuzoku or biker gang wannabes that are revving their motor-scooters loudly late at night with their little boyfriends.

All noise/flash, no substance and nobody really cares at all.

BTW keep wasting them missiles Jong Un......

More Trump love letters to Kim should do it don’t you think? You praised trump for that before, it was a strategy that worked didn’t it?

...didn’t it?

LOL, Exactly!

I think South Korea, Japan and the USA should fire a couple dozen of live round missiles into the sea off north Korea to show who has the biggest stick. The only way to deal with a bully is to punch him in his belly.

China could snuff North Korea at anytime. I usually don’t agree with Zichi on most things, but on this particular issue he’s right North Korea does what China wants and what it tells it.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Sanctions continue to tick off this guy. Great move, Trump!

https://nypost.com/2019/07/04/despite-thug-hugs-trump-is-tougher-on-despots-than-obama/

No arguments there.

Yeah, China does. Without China, that nation would have been dust a very long time to ago. China has full control over the beast and of they say “stop or heel”, Kim will do just that.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

What does the pic have to do with the story? Do I sense that the intent is to blame Trump for this too? Remember, Little Kim has been lobbing missiles long before Trump. And remember that Little Kim's arsenal was built during the Obama Administration.
