Welcome to the world of Japanese democracy where the leader of the government only gets questioned by other leaders once every 18 months. No wonder Shinzo is always smiling. If he had to answer monthly about all the scandals his government has been suspected of, it might be a different story.

It is all correct the opposition party leaders say but people do not give power to them. It is already proven that they were incompetent to govern Japan. For people, daily economic life is more important than the cleanliness of politicians.

It is all correct the opposition party leaders say but people do not give power to them.

"People" did not give power to Shinzo Abe. Japan's broken election system did. Even ordinary LDP members didn't want him when he stood for election as party president, he only won in the run-off with the support of equally vile Diet cronies.

It is already proven that they were incompetent to govern Japan.

Abe proves he's incompetent every day.

For people, daily economic life is more important than the cleanliness of politicians.

What's Abe done in the past five years to improve daily economic life? Whatever it is I don't see any signs it's done much good.

oh cos the economy is doing so well, like in life you get what you settle for and what your saying is japan settles for corruption at the highest levels of government yes?

For people, daily economic life is more important than the cleanliness of politicians.

Utter nonsense. People want both; who says it's either/or? The entire system is rigged in favour of the LDP, who rule by gerrymandering, bribery and vote disparity, not to mention the almost total support of the Corporate Media. No matter who you vote for the LDP wins.

Largely dynastic politicians, Abe and his party are corrupt and incompetent, totally out of touch with the daily problems that people face.

What's important is whether the process was fair or not

No no no! What is important is that you said you would resign if you or your wife were directly linked. The undoctored papers prove this!

How many times a year does Trump get questioned by the opposition law makers in the US? That is right, he doesn't.

Nothing will change unless the opposition finally comes up with someone able to challenge Abe, his failed projects as well as his buddies.

True. The really annoying thing is that Abe's that bland, dull and all-round mediocre you wouldn't think it could be so hard.

Yes, the US political system is terrible as well. Your point?

From this column: "But the 45-minute one-on-one debate did not provide any new findings and its contents did not go beyond what has been discussed in the previous Diet sessions." What? I only want to know what was that amount of documents, loads of papers discovered/disclosed in both scandals, only to be stagnated and buried? Why private scandals like that one of American football of Nichidai overheated by media and severely punished the coaches (what I found fairness), and in comparison, find in politics 2 top-leaders oral statements denying involvement and blaming the bureaucrats/public servers hiding evidences, one of them suicide for this situation. Is that "the power" still co-existing from remote time, the feudal system?

This guy is going to get off scot-free. Hell, he'll even change the rules again so he can get another term as PM with the nasty Aso next to him. Making the rules as he goes along.

First picture in while where Funzo isn't asleep.

The problem with Japanese politics is that no one is watching and no one cares. Whatever happens in the sessions barely have any affect on the actual election polls.

All they do is just keep denying or keep saying "I dont recall" and the problems just fade away eventually. Aso gets so bored that he is asleep half the time he is there anyways..

Lol, how dowdy looking are those tablecloths? Dasai!

The next news soon: Abe govt. pressed police investigation of former Japanese finance official Sagawa to be released.

Imagine a population that can’t stand their ruling party, but feel too feeble and helpless to really want any change. A chiwawa of an opposition yelping away but completely void of a clear map forward, ( if they have one no one knows what it is ) and the Abe machine is puttering away. Come on yo, you can do better than this! Reignite the interest in human potential!

It is difficult for me to understand what Abe actually does?

And at least in the picture Aso isn’t exploring his middle ear

"Never trust any politician who can lie straight into your face without even a single blink."

Based on that premise, who would you trust?
