Donny will invite Kim and Abe to Mar-A-Lago for a round of golf and some scrumptious chocolate cake and everything will be okay.

Throw in 2 scoops of ice cream and it's a slam-dunk.

Not a big deal! Nothing has changed! It was just a photo op with progress or substance.

Besides Clinton did it first with real results! LOL!

The story behind Clinton's trip to North Korea

http://edition.cnn.com/2009/US/08/05/nkorea.journalists.background/

Not to mention basketball players have also visited NK, spent more time there and got more admiration from Dear Leader than Dump has.

Dennis Rodman got more respect! LOL!

And even Clinton and Rodman were more classy about it, even if Dennis Rodman kisses NK fanny too. Donny is nothing but a juvenile self-appointed deity demanding worship but really sucking up to dictators of Russia, NK, China and Saudi Arabia. Shameful.

Trump tells Abe he is tolerant of N Korea's (nuclear-headed) short-range ballistic missiles

A nuclearized DPRK is an ultimate goal North Korea has pursued to achieve since the days of Kim Il-sung. North Korea seems to have achieved that goal now under Kim Jong-un almost certainly. Will North Korea then part with their hard-won status as a nuclear power so easily as President Trump hopes and is cajoling the young Kim into doing so?

Who sold them ???.

This is why the West should never engage with terrorist regimes. Trump is making the same mistake with North Korea that Europe has made with Iran.

Except the US was the terrorist trying to attack Iran and break a peace deal.

Europe isn't falling for Dump's nonsense on Iran just like people are not falling for his nonsense on NK.

who made history by being the first U.S. president to walk into North Korea and not Obama"

While historical, it's significance has been over-proclaimed at this point.

Can PM Abe stand up to Trump and tell him in the face that Japan isn't cool at all with these missile tests? Abe seem isolated and deserted by his traditional allies, US and south Korea. He has picked up an unnecessary fight with South Korea and Trump seems to value his personal friendship with Chairman Kim Jong un more than his friendship with Abe.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

And in typical South Korean manner, Moon is busy waging war on Japan. LOL

And, in typical blinded by hatred for Korea manner, we get insightful comments like this. At least there was no apologetics for Japan's rapenof Asia in WWII woven into the comment.

That's right now. Fly over to the Korean DMZ on US taxpayers' dollars near the 4th of July to pose and kiss up with Kim, with his daughter/GF/wife in tow at that. Now he says this krap. Keep on kiss kiss kissing Kim's keister, Donny. Make America Grody Again, yeah!

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Our idiot president is being well-played by Kim, who is MUCH smarter than Trump.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Abe sang is just a lapdog of Trump, but tries to assume a savage beast to Moon. At least President Moon can read Trump's mind and knows how to play with him. It is marvelous that the people of both the US and Japan are tolerant of their leaders.

-6 ( +5 / -11 )

The magic numbers are 2, 4 , 6, as simple as that.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Donny will invite Kim and Abe to Mar-A-Lago for a round of golf and some scrumptious chocolate cake and everything will be okay.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

It is humiliating for Abe to be excluded from the talks with NK, as if Japan doesn't exist. Trump talked, Moon talked, Putin talked, Xi talked, Lee talked, and even Trong talked. Abe has to do something more than crying and whining.

-11 ( +2 / -13 )

Pres. Trump is either "playing" Kim or doing what his predecessors have done: kick the can down the road. Kim knows (or thinks he knows) that his enemies regard war as unthinkable and that he can thus do almost anything and get away with it. Sanctions? China will cheat. So will South Korea, whose (misguided) strategy is to buy off the Kim regime.

Kim is an evil, ruthless dictator, concerned only about himself and his clan. But he's not insane. He'll hang on to his nukes and his missiles as an insurance policy; that is, he's telling the rest of the world: "Help me stay in power, because who knows what I'll do if I start to fall!"

It's all quite appalling...But there appears to be no alternative.

next up on NK itinerary, a long range test

Do let us know when that happens, wtf.

Donny's been completely ineffective on North Korea.

You just can't stand the fact that it was Trump who made history by being the first U.S. president to walk into North Korea and not Obama, who was completely ineffective on North Korea. And Trump still has 5 and a half years in office unless the Dems can get the wildly popular Michelle Obama to run against him, hehe

More proof that the US is not interested in any alliance. The US is only interested in using other nations as targets for its military misadventures. Set up bases away from the US mainland so they become the target. Since short-range missiles wont reach the US it doesn't matter.

When will the nations of the world wake up to the US? When will the nations of the world get a backbone and sideline the US?

We are allowing a very sick society lead us into a global war.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

The reason, Trump explained, was that his administration wants to keep North Korea engaged in negotiations and prevent Washington's ties with Pyongyang from collapsing, the sources said.

That’s bad parenting. One shouldn’t let bad boys play with their toys until they break something. One should take their toys off them before they do.

Now let's see Abe's toughness in telling Trump Japan isn't tolerant

Abe already knew. He was playing golf when Trump called him.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

What a joke

9 ( +9 / -0 )

Except one slight problem; Trump didn't say that. He didn't say he was tolerant of NK anything. He said he would rather work towards a solution that is in everyone's best interests.

But, hey. Don't let facts stand in the way of your rush to force a WWIII situation onto Japan. You little English teaching assistants will be going home soon, and it is just little brown people dying for your TDRS.

And what are 3,000,000 Japanese lives anyway, if you get to say "Trump caused THAT!" to a war that could have been avoided by liberals shutting up and letting the grown-ups negotiat peace?

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

@Farmboy

So if a short range missile has a payload attached, or a short range missile lands in another country like Japan or South Korea, is that okay, or would that cause Trump to be disappointed?

That triggers the defense treaty.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

With the GSOMIA about to be terminated, Japanese defense officials will learn about the next overflight NK ballistic missile launch from CNN Breaking News.

-6 ( +6 / -12 )

Now let's see his reaction if Iran lobs missiles out into the Persian gulf. Fairs fair, right?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

You see? Abe can't stand up to his master. "The Japan that said: No"? haha. And the fact that it's because Abe admits he needs Trump to solve a process that NK laughs and says is resolved because they know Trump won't care and will support Kim makes it doubly worse for Abe. Abe is a powerless tool.

-15 ( +3 / -18 )

Trump tells Abe he is tolerant of N Korea's short-range ballistic missiles

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Donny's been completely ineffective on North Korea.

I think that President Trump is handling this very well indeed.

Sinse dialog started, no missile has flown over Japan.

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

Abe should follow Trump's example and take independent decision to approach NK. Don't let the traditional view block your vision and limit your power. A strong leader make strong blow.

-8 ( +2 / -10 )

Abe has to suck it up. No complaining, otherwise no more golfing with your 'best buddy'. Kim must be enjoying this.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Neither Trump nor Abe care about NK's short range missiles. It's not a threat to them. NK developed and is testing low trajectory short range missiles with South Korea in mind so they can not be taken out easily. And in typical South Korean manner, Moon is busy waging war on Japan. LOL

4 ( +13 / -9 )

Imagine if Obama had said that? It would have started the second civil war in America.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

Now that we have a rocket man crossing the fr gb channel with a backback

who is looking at Eastasia for achievments.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Donny's been completely ineffective on North Korea.

-1 ( +11 / -12 )

If for example NK was actually located right around somewhere such as Cuba, the logic might kick in... and he might be able to see the outlines of the elephant.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

That’s what they are, tests. Testing Trump.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

next up on NK itinerary, a long range test

12 ( +13 / -1 )

actually flew over New York that would be the end of NK

wasnt thats tweet just a few short range tests ago, the total destruction of NK, now hes tolerant of the test!?

11 ( +12 / -1 )

I'm sure N Korea would feel the same right to do so if, let's say for argument's sake, Japan decides to start testing more missles. Fair is fair.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Sid... if a NK missile ever actually flew over New York that would be the end of NK.

Now, San Francisco... who cares? lol

Just kidding, same with SF. The end of NK. It won't happen though.

-21 ( +4 / -25 )

Trump might not be so sanguine if the missiles were flying over New York or San Francisco.
