Abductees' families say they won't oppose Japan lifting N Korea sanctions

Maybe becoming friends with North Korea would be a way to get back the abductees.

North Korea is pressed by the South Korea/US hardline position. They are sending out feelers to Japan. If that results in a resolution to the abductee issue that's great. I honestly don't expect anybody to be "returning" but at least NKorea may provide records and details of their demise to put this to rest.

Let's try to open up some new markets as well, as Japan could improve its national defense by buying NK weapons, especially missiles that must be cost effective!

Kim Jong Un is not Jesus able to raise the dead. If he could, all the evangelicals in the US would immediately swear allegiance to this second coming of Jesus.

1) it is impossible to claim that all those who disappeared have been abducted by North Koreans. Japan has its fair share of unsolved crimes.

2) what would the point be in North Korea refusing to return the abductees at this point? they’ve confirmed some of them had in fact been abducted and have been let go back to Japan.

Being stubborn doesn’t pay off at all. Japan would be better off lifting the sanctions and obtaining information through soft diplomacy.

Indeed, Kim Jong Il have a full accounts of all Japanese abductees to Koizumi back in 2006, the rest went missing in Japan.

And Japanese families are demanding Kim Jong Un to raise those who went missing in Japan. If Kim could, all the world leaders should kneel down before Kim and hail Kim as the second coming of Jesus.

Supporting sanctions would be counter-productive and potentially harmful if they are concern about relatives residing in the country.
