Abe denies this, Abe denies that, Abe says this never happened, and that neither.....

If this was any one else, they would be in hot water up to their necks, and politically speaking, finished.

The folks in this country better wake up soon.

That is all the government does, pressure everyone from NHK to newspapers. Guilty Mr Abe!

So, how many education scandals is this crook going to be undicated in? Will he ever be convicted of influencing and giving favor to his mates' proposals? Of course not! He is the prime minister and, in Japan, this means he is above the law.

i forget what the japanese term is but even if abe didn't directly say it, it was his wish and so the gov't agencies acted upon it. and he knows this for sure, just like the moritomo scandal that has disappeared.

Isn't this the 3rd scandal involving this muppet and an educational institution? You know, we constantly talk about how the North Koreans are brainwashed into this cult mentality of the Kim family, but as I look around and I see this twat packing on scandal after scandal with the Japanese sheeple still letting him go on and on, I really have to wonder: is it really is so different over here?

I cant see a problem with a minister encoraging the development of an education institution, can someone explain why it is?

No wonder Abe wants to wield so much influence on education -- you teach the sheeple not to question obvious corruption and bow down to dictators, and he can get away with anything. Abe's a worse liar than Putin.

"influence govt decision" is his middle name.

It appears that the only educational institution that was allowed to receive this opportunity was the one owned by a close personal friend of the Prime Minister, and that officials felt they had pretty much no choice but to do as he wanted. Can you see any problems with it now?

North Korea is helping him to avoid all those scandals from his commitments. Nobody can place him at this moment is another reason he is able to manage policies on his way...I don't know why many citizens accept this. that's insane his tricky policies. Rounds up Trump policies in USA.

Abe told a parliamentary session that he had "never exerted pressure" to enable Kake Educational Institution to establish a veterinary medicine department

This statement is not believable given the evidence to the contrary.

Abe also maintained the government's position that the education ministry could not confirm the existence of the documents

This means the documents do exist (or did: they have probably been destroyed by now). This is the same form of words used to deny Japanese army involvement in sex slavery during WW2. Plenty of documents exist but the government refuses to acknowledge them. They think that this somehow means they did nothing wrong. This kind of thinking comes across as ludicrous to me, but Abe is a big believer in it.

Marcelito:

Careful what you wish for. Criticizing the SK president is a jail sentence for around a year. Wouldn't want Abe arresting people who question or mock him.
