Abe rules out dissolving Diet, apologizes for ministerial resignations

I hallucinate.

On July 21 of this year there were general elections. Where Abe's LDP won with total force. To ask for a new early election is a waste of taxpayers' money. For a reason as weak as this.

In the next elections in 2021 there will be a new opportunity for the opposition parties to define themselves as a real alternative government. As long as they can demonstrate that they can truly do so. But that will be in due course. Democracy has its deadlines.

So many general elections in a row make people tired in the long run. I myself am living it in Spain. The next general election on November 10. It will be the 4th general election in 4 years. Or what is the same. General elections every 6 months. The cost of calling general elections in Spain is 138.961.517 euros. If we multiply that number by four elections in four years. The figure is about 555.846.068 euros. It seems like little money but it is not. And everything paid for by the taxpayer through taxes.

The change in yen would be:

138961517 euros = 16794986704,05 yen.

555846068 euros = 67179946816,19 yen.

In order for people to have a slight idea of the money it costs, calling a general election.

You have been spouting this sane guff for over 8 years and the only things that have changed are, corporations have got richer with the tax cuts you granted them and people have got poorer with increased taxes and no salary growth. There has still been no increase in child care or any changes made to labor laws to give women equal rights in the workplace. Mr. Abe, you are a fraudulent bag of hot air!

Usually people complain that lawmaker/ministry do bad thing not that they quit their job because of it. After all if you make law you should know these existing and be able to follow them. Same about the fact that you are suppose to represent everyone so be able to not discriminate.

Ironic as Abe should’ve resigned himself over the Kindergarten and Vet school scandals.

For a country so famous and proud for its manners and behaviour, there’s a whole lot of scandals and corruption going on everywhere and pretty much all the time.

So true. In S Korea, the president was made to step down and even serve time for less.

But no, in this free democracy of Japan, they continue on their merry way with an apparently obsequious populace willing to accept it all.

Japan is a democracy in the same sense that Liberal Democratic Party is Liberal or the Democratic Republic of North Korea is Democratic.

Only if you look at it from the lens that japan is a country with a political system comparable to western democracies. If you look at it from the lens that japan is more politically similar to Russia, it begins to make more sense.

Abe doesn't have to apologize for it. There is no perfect man, as simple as that.

Now he can't quit as Abe has made it public that he wont have another minister resign during his reign!
