Abe to visit India for three days

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe continues his globetrotting with a three-day visit to India, starting Saturday.

Abe, who just returned to Tokyo on Thursday after a 36-hour visit to Davos, Switzerland, will hold a summit with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Topics on the agenda include trade, investment and the conclusion of a bilateral nuclear agreement.

Abe will also attend Indian Republic Day events on Monday before returning to Tokyo.

The visit to India will be Abe's third overseas trip this month. Last year, he visited 25 countries.

When he took office in December 2012, Abe described himself as Japan's No. 1 global salesman.

Abe has obviously never heard of teleconferencing. Instead of environmental destruction and high cost to the Japanese taxpayer for all this 'globe trotting' he should focus on setting an example in 'eco-friendliness'

Abe is so bogged down by geopolitics, what bandwidth does he have left to work on the economy?

Where are you from? If you are too concerned about the environment, you should ask AL GORE to keep his private jet on the ground. All world leaders need to travel and show commitments.

Face to face meetings can accomplish much more than some informal chat! Hey I wonder if Indian prime minister has Skype??? Facebook??? Hey Facebook would be great, since China blocks it, all would be private from China.. lol Come on, let's be serious Kurisupisu. With circumstances the way they are in the region with China's aggression, which China showed to India not too long ago with China's incursion across Indian borders, I am sure Japan can accomplish a lot with India face to face with each facing an assertive provocative China! Plus, I am sure both would not want us , the US, ease dropping on their conversations... you know we have been pretty good at that lately!

Here comes the importance of India again. Al most all the Japanese top guns are visiting India. Two months ago the king went to India. And the Defence minister now the prime Minister. This is a message to China. China is trying their best to be friend with Indian. But India is very clever as she keep China in a good distance...

He had better not drink the tap water or eat too much spicy Indian curry while he's there.

Giving away money again to another country to curry favour, buy patronage and appear very actively trying to repair Japan's badly damaged image on account of his ineptness collecting meanwhile million mileages for his retirement.
